John is a dedicated recruiter in finding employees to fit with employers. Working with John and the rest of his company they have provided me with a career that I am happy to be a part of. It was awesome getting to work with John at the WNY PGA. He did an amazing job building a board of trustee network, one of the most diverse in the country and always had service at the forefront of his mind. John volunteered to help us drive greater results for the United Way of Greater Niagara's annual fund raising campaign. I found John ambitious, results oriented and creative. He presented new ideas to raise money and then took the lead to execute those ideas. He exhibits a unique drive and is focused on making a difference for our community and for his future. John worked with my company to do a two-part LinkedIn training that was super helpful for our Business Development team! John and I met through a few initiatives with Niagara University. Whether it be a yearly golf event or case competition with high school students, I've had the privilege of getting to know John. In doing so, I've learned he has a huge passion for all things self improvement and well being. John's energy and commitment to these areas has inspired myself and many others. John is not afraid to bring his energy to all he meets. He develops valuable connections and is excited to introduce others to those connections. I have had the pleasure of working with John in a number of capacities. We have run a lot of miles together in service of PGA HOPE and played a number of rounds together furthering our friendship. In these activities you get to know a person pretty well. One common theme is John's focus on building community and uplifting those around him. John and his partner at "Landscaping for Le$$" recently completed a rock border and landscaping project that is the talk of the neighborhood. The work was completed quickly and efficiently, on time and on budget. John and his partner have a good sense of landscape design; both are extremely industrious, considerate of other people's time and courteous to all individuals they came in contact with in the neighborhood.It is refreshing to have such a positive experience with someone in the landscaping business. When I first met John the OzMan I was immediately taken back by his passion to give back to our community through hard work and relationships. It's very rare to see someone so committed nowadays and actually backing up what they say. But Oz proved himself to me when after the meeting he introduced me to several of his friends/clients in which several of those intro's proved to be extremely valuable to what I have going. John is a true professional and is a natural connector of people. John Osberg is hands down one of the most intriguing students on campus. Although he manages to maintain a superb GPA, it is what John does outside of the classroom which makes him unlike any other student at Niagara University. John is clearly one of the most notable students in the College of business because he is always involved in the extra curricular activities which help set our school apart from the rest. John's work as a member of the Global Investment Research Team, campus ambassador for Bloomberg, President of Fianance club, and involvement in the community of Niagara Falls make him an excellent job candidate following his graduation in the spring of 2013. I first met John over five years ago at a First Tee event. It was a very brief encounter, but one that left a lasting impression. It has been close to 9 months now that John has been working for me at EmergenceTek Group. Starting with us as an intern in his last semester as an undergrad, John eventually joined ETG full-time after doing a great job during his internship. John and I have been close friends for quite some time now, dating back to our high school years, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the times we have shared thus far. His powerful drive to succeed in everything that he does is contagious, and whether it is preparing for a presentation, studying for a crucial rigorous up and coming exam, or merely reviewing the day's lecture material in order to keep up with the challenging concepts of our high level classes, the combination of John's helpful attitude and easing sense of humor provide a perfect work atmosphere. I first Met JO aka Oz aka the Ultimate Connector via a program called EforAll here in Buffalo, NY. During the initial meeting phases I felt as though JO and I connected not only from a professional standpoint but also from the energy this guy emitted. To TRY to put it in a nutshell the energy JO has and continues to exude has been wholesome, elevated, and INTENTIONAL. Also I often times refer to JO as the 'ultimate connector' because this guy seems to know EVERYONE (and their momma haha). So my recommendation is as follows: if you know JO and haven't really locked into what this guy is up to then I STRONGLY suggest you change that. Even if it is something as simple as showing his posts some love and seeing what value you can get out of it (he posts pretty consistently - I have been taking notes myself). And if you don't know JO then feel free to reach out, he is a wealth of knowledge and if he doesn't have the answer for you he sure as heck can connect you to someone who does. All in all JO has been a tremendous addition to my network as a mentor, business connect, and friend. There’s no one quite like John! 1) John’s a connector. He does a great job of keeping a mental inventory of what everyone he knows is working on, so that when he meets a new person, he’s able to see how that person may be able to complement something one of his other connections is already tackling. I’ve had several great opportunities come about where I was able to work with other another local business specifically because John took the time to make sure I got to meet someone that I’d probably never have bumped into without him. 2) John’s an encourager. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten a random text with something as simple as “hey dude you’re awesome” just out of the blue. I always leave conversations with John, ready to take on the world because of what he’s poured into me. 3) John cares. So many of the connections he’s made with me have been related to worthy causes, or people who are working on some charitable or potentially world-changing effort. He sees the good that other people are doing and immediately thinks “what can I do to help them get there?” or “how can I help put them in a position to do even more good?” I’m super appreciative of John and grateful that he took the time to introduce himself to me all those years ago!

John P. was a very hard-working and productive student at Niagara University. He became involved in doing some important marketing work for a local business; he assisted new organizations, such as a new Chamber of Commerce in Niagara Falls. John was always most inquisitive and saw education as his involvement in the business world as much as he saw it as classroom learning with professors and colleagues. I had the pleasure of working closely with John on our recent business proposal for the Niagara Falls Chamber of Commerce. I am aware of no adjectives that would do justice for John’s work ethic and overall business aptitude. He has a rare ability to network with anyone, anywhere, which has allowed him to build a plethora of contacts both within the world of business and outside it with local civic leaders. In the fall semester of 2012, I got the chance to work with John and two others on a project for our Human Resource Management class. I pleasantly surprised by his work ethic and ability to inject humor into our meetings. I recall a moment where we were discussing the aspects of our final presentation and were hitting an intellectual wall; when John interjected and made us take a moment to admire the “Roxton Blush” oxford shoes he would be wearing presentation day. Needless to say the distraction was hilarious, but it also served the purpose of focusing the entire team and forcing us to think outside the box. Ultimately we passed our presentation with flying colors. John is an excellent team player and reliable in crisis situations. He is knowledgeable about a wide variety of subjects and incredibly engaging. I’m not sure I’ve ever met another student like him. The bottom line of this is simple: John is the epitome of leadership and charisma and without a doubt in my mind will be successful in anything he chooses to pursue. He is an intellectual enigma and yet manages to connect with anyone he meets and inspire them. He is ambition personified and I absolutely recommend him. I began working with John in March 2024 when he was the Director of Partnerships at the Western NY PGA. From our very first day together, it was evident that we would collaborate exceptionally well. I met John at a PGA HOPE session many years ago, an organization that uses golf as a vehicle to serve, heal and connect Veterans through recreational therapy. His energy then filled more than the space around us with positivity and optimism that was genuine and boundless as it continues to do now. I know from countless shared experiences this is John as he prefers to be, as he strives to be, and as he is not satisfied with himself to be in any other way. John is driven to continuous self improvement in all aspects of his life. He listens, he asks questions and then he listens to answers with an open mind and without bias, an exceptional quality in my 30 years of experience as a military leader with team leadership and mentorship at all levels of organizational command from small groups to large companies. Always giving he is generous beyond expectations without any design to attract attention to himself, returning thanks and acknowledgment with a confidence that it is his expectation for himself that he has met. Knowing John and being in his sphere of influence is a powerful force of intention without bounds or limits and being fortunate enough to have our paths in life join and continuing in parallel, I am optimistic for the future wherever it leads. John is a Niagara University alum and connected with me on LinkedIn this previous year (2023). I reached out, inquiring about his time at Niagara and what he does currently at the WNY PGA and how he achieved said roll. John and I set up a phone interview, answering all of my questions about work/life balance, what success can look like and how to achieve the goals I set for myself. He even gave me insight on a potential internship that I was able to apply for focusing on the aspect of golf I am personally interested in. This past Spring (May 2024) I was elected President of Niagara University's Sport Management Association (SMA) and asked John to speak at one of our bi-weekly meetings as I felt he could provide sufficient knowledge to our members based off our previous interview and contacts. John delivered, I have never seen a group so in-tune with a speaker and really resonate with what he was telling them based off their questions. He provided his LinkedIn and referenced connections of his own for our members that had an interest in specific sporting industries, assisting them in building their network and even possibly providing them an opportunity as he did for me back in 2023. During the short time I've known John he has been punctual, detailed and determined in assisting myself and any other lives' he has associated with inside and out of a professional setting. John is a genuine and hard working human being who surrounds himself with the best and strives to help them in any way that he is able to. John is not only a true leader and mentor but someone I’m genuinely honored to call a friend.

John and I met through a few initiatives with Niagara University. Whether it be a yearly golf event or case competition with high school students, I've had the privilege of getting to know John. In doing so, I've learned he has a huge passion for all things self improvement and well being. John's energy and commitment to these areas has inspired myself and many others. John is not afraid to bring his energy to all he meets. He develops valuable connections and is excited to introduce others to those connections. I have had the pleasure of working with John in a number of capacities. We have run a lot of miles together in service of PGA HOPE and played a number of rounds together furthering our friendship. In these activities you get to know a person pretty well. One common theme is John's focus on building community and uplifting those around him. It has been a pleasure to see him excel with Incept and continue to expand his network in hopes of helping those around him grow and be successful. John and his partner at "Landscaping for Le$$" recently completed a rock border and landscaping project that is the talk of the neighborhood. The work was completed quickly and efficiently, on time and on budget. When I first met John the OzMan I was immediately taken back by his passion to give back to our community through hard work and relationships. It's very rare to see someone so committed nowadays and actually backing up what they say. But Oz proved himself to me when after the meeting he introduced me to several of his friends/clients in which several of those intro's proved to be extremely valuable to what I have going. John is a true professional and is a natural connector of people. John Osberg is hands down one of the most intriguing students on campus. Although he manages to maintain a superb GPA, it is what John does outside of the classroom which makes him unlike any other student at Niagara University. John's work as a member of the Global Investment Research Team, campus ambassador for Bloomberg, President of Fianance club, and involvement in the community of Niagara Falls make him an excellent job candidate following his graduation in the spring of 2013. I first met John over five years ago at a First Tee event. It was a very brief encounter, but one that left a lasting impression. It has been close to 9 months now that John has been working for me at EmergenceTek Group. John and I have been close friends for quite some time now, dating back to our high school years, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the times we have shared thus far. I first Met JO aka Oz aka the Ultimate Connector via a program called EforAll here in Buffalo, NY. During the initial meeting phases I felt as though JO and I connected not only from a professional standpoint but also from the energy this guy emitted. To TRY to put it in a nutshell the energy JO has and continues to exude has been wholesome, elevated, and INTENTIONAL. Also I often times refer to JO as the 'ultimate connector' because this guy seems to know EVERYONE (and their momma haha). So my recommendation is as follows: if you know JO and haven't really locked into what this guy is up to then I STRONGLY suggest you change that. Even if it is something as simple as showing his posts some love and seeing what value you can get out of it (he posts pretty consistently - I have been taking notes myself). And if you don't know JO then feel free to reach out, he is a wealth of knowledge and if he doesn't have the answer for you he sure as heck can connect you to someone who does. All in all JO has been a tremendous addition to my network as a mentor, business connect, and friend. There’s no one quite like John! 1) John’s a connector. He does a great job of keeping a mental inventory of what everyone he knows is working on, so that when he meets a new person, he’s able to see how that person may be able to complement something one of his other connections is already tackling. I’ve had several great opportunities come about where I was able to work with other another local business specifically because John took the time to make sure I got to meet someone that I’d probably never have bumped into without him. 2) John’s an encourager. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten a random text with something as simple as “hey dude you’re awesome” just out of the blue. I always leave conversations with John, ready to take on the world because of what he’s poured into me. 3) John cares. So many of the connections he’s made with me have been related to worthy causes, or people who are working on some charitable or potentially world-changing effort. John P. was a very hard-working and productive student at Niagara University. He became involved in doing some important marketing work for a local business; he assisted new organizations, such as a new Chamber of Commerce in Niagara Falls. I had the pleasure of working closely with John on our recent business proposal for the Niagara Falls Chamber of Commerce. I am aware of no adjectives that would do justice for John’s work ethic and overall business aptitude. He has a rare ability to network with anyone, anywhere, which has allowed him to build a plethora of contacts both within the world of business and outside it with local civic leaders. In the fall semester of 2012, I got the chance to work with John and two others on a project for our Human Resource Management class. I pleasantly surprised by his work ethic and ability to inject humor into our meetings. I recall a moment where we were discussing the aspects of our final presentation and were hitting an intellectual wall; when John interjected and made us take a moment to admire the “Roxton Blush” oxford shoes he would be wearing presentation day. Needless to say the distraction was hilarious, but it also served the purpose of focusing the entire team and forcing us to think outside the box. Ultimately we passed our presentation with flying colors. John is an excellent team player and reliable in crisis situations. He is knowledgeable about a wide variety of subjects and incredibly engaging. I’m not sure I’ve ever met another student like him. The bottom line of this is simple: John is the epitome of leadership and charisma and without a doubt in my mind will be successful in anything he chooses to pursue. He is an intellectual enigma and yet manages to connect with anyone he meets and inspire them. He is ambition personified and I absolutely recommend him. I began working with John in March 2024 when he was the Director of Partnerships at the Western NY PGA. From our very first day together, it was evident that we would collaborate exceptionally well. I met John at a PGA HOPE session many years ago, an organization that uses golf as a vehicle to serve, heal and connect Veterans through recreational therapy. His energy then filled more than the space around us with positivity and optimism that was genuine and boundless as it continues to do now. I know from countless shared experiences this is John as he prefers to be, as he strives to be, and as he is not satisfied with himself to be in any other way. John is driven to continuous self improvement in all aspects of his life. He listens, he asks questions and then he listens to answers with an open mind and without bias, an exceptional quality in my 30 years of experience as a military leader with team leadership and mentorship at all levels of organizational command from small groups to large companies. John is a Niagara University alum and connected with me on LinkedIn this previous year (2023). I reached out, inquiring about his time at Niagara and what he does currently at the WNY PGA and how he achieved said roll. John and I set up a phone interview, answering all of my questions about work/life balance, what success can look like and how to achieve the goals I set for myself. He even gave me insight on a potential internship that I was able to apply for focusing on the aspect of golf I am personally interested in. This past Spring (May 2024) I was elected President of Niagara University's Sport Management Association (SMA) and asked John to speak at one of our bi-weekly meetings as I felt he could provide sufficient knowledge to our members based off our previous interview and contacts. John delivered, I have never seen a group so in-tune with a speaker and really resonate with what he was telling them based off their questions. He provided his LinkedIn and referenced connections of his own for our members that had an interest in specific sporting industries, assisting them in building their network and even possibly providing them an opportunity as he did for me back in 2023. During the short time I've known John he has been punctual, detailed and determined in assisting myself and any other lives' he has associated with inside and out of a professional setting. John is a genuine and hard working human being who surrounds himself with the best and strives to help them in any way that he is able to. I heavily recommend John as a contact, partner and mentor for any business he may conduct as the work that he does within his life is always consistent and efficient concerning the needs of the matter!

This recommendation for John Osberg is an easy one to write for the depth and breadth of content to draw on, which also makes it difficult to capture everything that makes him Johnny O; man, myth and legend. His character is beyond reproach leading foremost with openness and a smile, wanting to hear from others before speaking anything on his own behalf. His word is his sacred trust. He commits to his ideals he lives, to intentional living, and to his dedication to maximize his effectiveness and his integrity with every heartbeat and step he makes. I know this from 7 years of our combined efforts and driven purposefulness supporting golf for Veterans through the PGA HOPE program of the PGA REACH fundraising arm of the Western NY PGA Headquarters, and our ongoing personal connection that extends well outside those bounds. In the military we have a phrase, "iron sharpens iron" and together we strive to promote excellence as "the tip of the spear" leading the way so others may follow. John doesn't need anyone with him to be that tip of the spear and his enthusiasm is infectious lighting the desires of many who are inspired by his shared concepts of clarity and purpose painting the future in bright colors and with advantages to be gained by everyone those intentions would touch. He is a visionary and a motivator, a committed friend and warrior at heart. John is a dedicated family man to his wife and daughter and they are the foundation of his purpose. When I think of John I see a spiritual brother who leads from the heart but balances that ideal grounded in the wisdom of experience. His actions for PGA HOPE communicate louder than any words spoken and his direct actions woven into the fabric of the WNY golf community through the REACH Foundation and WNYPGA Headquarters will continue to provide service to our US military Veterans, our nation's defenders well beyond his time.
